Why is CVC currently deciding AGAINST the quality seal?
Dear customers/interested parties,
we explicitly emphasize that the quality seal and “Fair Recruitment Nursing Germany” are an important instrument for ensuring regulated international recruitment.
After many discussions with long-standing partners, we have consciously decided at present against the quality seal. Our partners describe the main cost drivers for international recruitment as, on the one hand, the placement commission and, on the other hand, the costs for the subsequent training through to recognition and beyond. With our services, we aim to take both cost drivers into account. This is only possible with a time-commitment clause for our nursing professionals.
Unfortunately, the following services are not fully compliant with all regulations of the quality seal and are also not accepted by the quality seal commission.
These are:
1.) 2-year retention guarantee
We provide our customers with a 2-year retention guarantee for the placed nursing professionals after they receive their certificate as a qualified nurse. This is only possible if we conclude a corresponding legally compliant agreement with our nursing professionals in their local language before they participate in our CVC programme (before the start of the A1 course in the country of origin). This agreement stipulates that the nursing professional will not incur any costs if they remain with the employer for two years after receiving the certificate. Our nursing professionals have the sole decision as to which employer they wish to work for in the future. To this end, before the first interview with the future employer, we provide information in an evaluation meeting—using a detailed checklist completed by the customer—about the position offered (size of the facility, hospital or care facility, collective agreement and salary, number of beds, wards, recognition options, etc.) as well as the locality (infrastructure, population, sights, cultural highlights, etc.).
Even if, after entering Germany, a wish to change jobs is expressed for any reason, we are happy to assist—free of charge for the nursing professional—in finding a new employer.
Only in the event that the nursing professional independently terminates the existing employment contract and changes to a new employer without our knowledge and any communication do we have to invoice the costs we have incurred for the recruitment and training process (language courses, language exams, translation and certification of documents, costs for the deficit notice, costs for measles immunity, costs for the visa appointment, flight ticket, accommodation in apartments during onboarding in Germany, administrative support, Wohnungssuche, furnishing the apartment and rental deposit).
This is essential, as under our 2-year retention guarantee we assure the former employer of a free replacement placement.
Even with repayment of the costs incurred, this causes us significant economic damage—without the payment, we would no longer be able to offer this service.
And once again: all of this is contractually agreed in the country of origin, in the local language, before registration in the CVC programme!
2.) Renting accommodation
We assure our customers that we will procure suitable and affordable accommodation within a reasonable distance of the workplace and furnish it completely. As most landlords do not rent accommodation to nursing professionals who have not yet entered the country without proof of a German payslip, we take over the rental agreement as the main tenant—usually with a rental commitment of 1–2 years. We also cover the rental deposit as well as the first month’s rent. We agree with our nursing professionals that from the second month onwards, the monthly rent must be paid to us. In addition, the rental deposit, the first month’s rent, and the furnishing and initial equipment are repaid to us in 24 small monthly instalments (approx. €50.00).
Here too, in the event of an early & uncommunicated change of employer, we suffer significant economic damage, as the rents must continue to be paid by us as the main tenant.
Conclusion: The two points mentioned are key features of our services for (a) our customers and (b) our nursing professionals, and they clearly differentiate us from the competition.
Without a contractual commitment, we cannot offer these services.
We would greatly appreciate your feedback on this matter and are happy to discuss viable alternatives.
A central component of our offer is the comprehensive support of our nursing staff throughout the entire recruitment and integration process. Our nursing staff attend our own language courses from A1 to B2 – completely free of charge. We also cover all expenses incurred, such as:
✓ the official language exams
✓ the flight ticket
✓ the measles vaccination
✓ the fees for the embassy appointment
✓ the translation and certification of all necessary documents
✓ the Wohnungssuche (apartment search) and the furnishing of accommodation near the respective clinic or nursing home
In summary, our nursing staff incur no costs whatsoever for the entire process. This enables a fair, safe, and supportive start to their berufliche Zukunft (professional future) in Deutschland (Germany).
